Company History

Bob and Marianne Maljaars started their nursery by planting half of an acre of trees in 1985. They were teenagers, dating at the time and could often be seen hoeing their tree patch by hand on Friday evenings and weekends. This was the beginning of Inline Nurseries. The total sales in the first year was equivalent to 14 semi loads, while today shipping more than 20 loads in a day is attainable.

Because of aggressive marketing and doing their utmost to serve customers, Bob and Marianne began to receive calls for more and more product. This led to them asking friends and relatives to help by growing for Inline.

Eventually, larger shipping facilities, offices and production areas were needed. The current location was purchased in 1988 as 20 acres of bare land. In 1997 it was decided to increase container production and diversify into more varieties so that a more complete package would be available. The property now includes 20 acres to the East and 30 acres to the West of the original farm. Besides that, there are 80 acres off site field production and over 100 acres in field production with various growers. The shipping facility was expanded again in 2004 and is now capable of handling more than 20 semi-trailer loads per day.
